• When you activate Reading Mode, the Product reads the current tab’s HTML content to extract article titles and body text for marking up and translation.

2.3 User Configuration & Preferences

• We store your AI service settings (e.g., API keys, model selections, provider choices) and reading preferences (highlight styles, translation options) locally in your browser using the Chrome Storage API.

2.4 AI‑Assisted Text

• User‑Supplied API Key Mode: If you supply your own API key, text is sent directly from your browser to the third‑party AI service and never passes through our servers.
• Read Easy‑Provided AI Service Mode: If you opt to use Read Easy’s AI service, text is transmitted to our server over an encrypted connection, then forwarded to the third‑party AI provider.

2.5 Basic Profile & Support Information

• Profile Data: We store your basic account information (name, avatar URL, email) on Supabase servers.
• Support Requests: Any feedback or support tickets you submit are recorded in our Supabase database for troubleshooting and customer service purposes.

1. Deliver and improve core features (Reading Mode, content extraction, text markup).
2. Connect to AI services and generate translations, notes, and read‑aloud audio.

• Local Storage: User configurations and preferences are kept in your browser and never sent to our servers.
• Server Storage: Profile and support data are stored on Supabase.

• AI Service Data: For Read Easy‑provided AI requests, text is encrypted in transit and only used for the purpose of fulfilling your request.
